Bob
Hall has been at it again. He's uncovered a wealth of USS
Tidewater history by finding the grandson of Admiral Jules
James and visiting with him at his home in Washington State.
Here's a photo of the plaque that was made in honor of Admiral
James participation in the construction of the USS Tidewater
during the final months of World War II. Please click on
the photo for more.

for the AD31 Captain's Quarters. Please click on the photo

October 2002
There
was a gaping hole in the side of the Cole that has painted
a lasting memory in our minds of the horror and deaths that
occurred in Yemen two years ago on October 12, 2000. For
all Americans who really believed that the need for a strong
U.S. military was over, now, since the terror committed
by the same group at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon,
which included the hijacking of 4 commercial airliners and
the killing of their crew and passengers on Sept. 11, 2002,
one month and one day short of the Cole bombing's first
year anniversary, that issue is no longer debatable. Please

Scenic,
memorable, a paradise where tender sailors, if they were
lucky, worked short days and frolicked long nites. Robert
Hall took some photos on one of Tide's trips to Puerto Rico
when he was aboard. Click on San Juan above and we'll take
you there now.

when we were in the Med. Here are some photos of the Naples
area that were taken by Robert Hall who was aboard the Tidewater
